Event to Feature an Executive Panel Discussion on Economy, Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin Announcement
MILWAUKEE – WMC Foundation – an affiliate of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) – announced on Wednesday that Jay Timmons, National Association of Manufacturers President & CEO, would serve as the keynote speaker at the upcoming Business & Industry Luncheon in Milwaukee.
The luncheon – which will be hosted at State Fair Park on Tuesday, Oct. 8 – is an annual checkup on the state and national economy. Keynote speaker Jay Timmons will speak on innovations in the manufacturing industry, provide an update of federal policies impacting Wisconsin businesses and discuss potential solutions to the workforce shortage.
Attendees will also hear from Wisconsin executives on where they think the state’s economy is heading in the next year. Panelists include: Rebekah Kowalski, Manpower Manufacturing Vice President; Steve Loehr, Kwik Trip Vice President; Austin Ramirez, Husco Chief Executive Officer; and Jud Snyder, BMO Harris Equipment Finance President.

The event will also feature an economic address from WMC President & CEO Kurt Bauer, the announcement of the 4th annual Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin winner and a presentation of Wisconsin’s future business leaders, sponsored by Wisconsin Business World.
